About Alyssa

Alyssa Tess is a singer songwriter from the Georgian Bay area. Alyssa has been singing for as long as she can remember. In the last 3 years, Alyssa has been an avid performer in the GTA and Barrie, ON. In October 2017, Alyssa released her first professionally produced EP.  "Twenty/Twenty" is now available on iTunes and various music streaming platforms like Spotify.

Singing before she could talk, Alyssa Tess fell in love with performing and songwriting at the young age of 7. Primarily self taught on guitar and piano, Alyssa used these skills to begin writing original songs by the time she was 10. Since then, Alyssa has continued to express herself through song. In high school, she immersed herself in everything musical and was encouraged to use the school’s studio to record some of her early originals. She uses her summers to street perform in Midland and Barrie, ON which has led to her performing at several local festivals such as the Midland Buttertart Festival and Barrie’s Kempenfest. She has also played in many local cafes, restaurants and bars throughout Midland, Barrie and Toronto. Alyssa has been the featured musical entertainment on Rogers Cable TV shows Mr. B and Friends and What’s Good and in 2015, she co-wrote a radio jingle for Springwater Garden Centre.

After high school, Alyssa attended Centennial College’s Music Industry Arts and Performance program. This past year Alyssa Tess spent her time gigging in Toronto and networking with other musicians. In December 2016, Alyssa performed at the Mod Club for a Raw Artists showcase. Alyssa is currently attending Humber College for Bachelor of Music Voice.

Alyssa uses her music as an outlet for creativity and emotion. She enjoys sharing her work with others and collaborating on ideas. Follow Alyssa Tess on Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and Youtube to stay posted on performance dates and new music releases.
